Announcement: The October NDNC meeting that would normally have been held on Monday, the 10th, is cancelled. Our bylaws state that we call for nominations for open board positions in October. Nominations are taken at the November meeting, elections are in December, and new board members take over in January.

At least one chair and the secretary position are open, as are treasurer, and various subcommittee chairs. The bylaws state that people serve for two years.

Please consider stepping into a role with the group. It was reformed more than 10 years ago to advocate for city resources for the Delridge neighborhoods, which had, historically, been undeserved with regard to grants and infrastructure projects.

If you would like to step into a role of community advocate in any way that you care about, please consider nominating yourself.

As it stands, unless people take over the helm, this group will be disbanding. What are reasons to fold whatever your current passion is into this group? The name is established and recognized within the city. It has an established set of bylaws, too. Please consider keeping the flame burning.

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy Folsom, outgoing secretary
