Following-up on their first meeting on February 21, 2012 (see West Seattle Blog coverage, which includes video), at which neighbors offered input, asked questions and stated concerns, DESC’s community advisory committee has scheduled a second meeting:
Delridge Supportive Housing Advisory Committee Meeting—6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center
This meeting is open to all interested and there will be an opportunity for public comment. DESC and the Delridge Alliance established the Delridge Supportive Housing Advisory Committee in order to engage interested neighbors to collaboratively address issues of concern and solicit their advice on the project operations impacting the Delridge community. See March 6, 2012 Meeting Agenda
Additionally, a second Design Review meeting will be held as follows:
At this meeting the developer will present design plans that are supposed to be responsive to the SW Design Review Board’s Early Design Guidance recommendations. The recommendations were established based on neighbor testimony given at a December 8, 2011 meeting. (Local press coverage—Ty Swenson’s West Seattle Herald article, Tracy Record’s West Seattle Blog article (includes video).)
You can compare their initial design to their most recent plans (selected portions of their January 23, 3012 master use permit application). To learn more see the Building and Land Use section at www.ndnc.org/delridge-alliance , or visit Delridge Community Forum’s page.
