Wette 
Am Montag NDNC Treffen, wir haben einen schnellen Brainstorming Kunstprojekt eine valentine mit den Dingen, die wir lieben zu Delridge erstellen. Es ist ein recht ordentlich Liste. Zusätzlich zu den fabelhaften Naturräume, Organisationen, Unternehmen, und Tätigkeiten, es gab einige wirklich skurrilen Dinge: echte Menschen, zuverlässige Stromversorgung Service, Blumen in Kreisverkehren, wacky Meter, und Guerilla Gardening, um nur einige zu nennen.
Zu Beginn der Sitzung, eröffneten wir mit allen eine Antwort zu geben auf die Frage,: “Was ist eine Sache, über Delridge, die es sich von anderen Stadtteilen macht?” Hier ist eine Liste of what people said:
- most greenspace per capita in Seattle
- Longfellow Creek
- low number of snobby people
- first tool library in the city
- incredible activism and neighbor involvement
- close to downtown, but still access to nature trails
- solstice parade
- more diversity
- number of neighbors who take action (and don’t just complain)
- Youngstown
- and the “Delridge Move” which is the practice of using the center turn lane for passing
Lots of great discussion and energy for the coming year, with a focus on supporting small gatherings and smaller neighborhood groups.
